Sunrisers Hyderabad have been the IPL’s forever underachievers. Their top order of Warner and Dhawan would click most of the games last season, however, their middle order could hardly follow it up. This is one team that could change its fate by adding Yuvraj Singh to their mix. Yuvraj will bring the stability to SRH’s middle order and ease the pressure off David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan to do all the scoring at the top of the order.

Players like Ricky Bhui, KL Rahul and Naman Ojha will benefit from Yuvraj’s addition to the thick of things and might be the catalyst SRH requires make into the playoffs. SRH will be happy to see the recent form of Kane Williamson and the way he is handling the captaincy of his national side. He might be the sheet anchor around whom the side will look to bat. That said, they will want to bring a couple of young Indian players to fill up their lower middle-order.

Their bowling too is top heavy where Trent Boult and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar are expected to get the job done while the likes of Karn Sharma, Ashish Reddy and Parvez Rasool would merely chip in. They let go of Dale Steyn and to fill that absence they will look to bring in a good overseas bowler such as Kane Richardson or John Hastings who did relatively well in the run-fest of an ODI series against India. Their spin department looks a bit depleted too, bringing in someone like Samuel Badree who opens the bowling for most of his franchisees around the world and is quite economical in the powerplay.
