The Australian team is visiting Sri Lanka for three T20Is, five ODIs, and two Tests. The current T20 World Champions are looking to test their strength in the subcontinent as they aim to defend their T20I crown at home later this year. Meanwhile, this tour was under threat of being cancelled due to the ongoing civil unrest in Sri Lanka.

After so many speculations and deliberations, both boards gave the green light to the much-anticipated series. The series will commence on 7th June. The Aussies are touring Sri Lanka for the first time since 2016 and will face a much-changed Sri Lankan lineup compared to that of 2016.

Schedule

The two nations will lock horns in the 1st T20I played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on 7th June. The 2nd T20I will be played on 8th June at the same venue. The 3rd and final T20I will see the sides travel to Pallekele on 11th June. All three T20Is will start at 7 pm IST.

Pallekelle will also be the venue for the first two ODIs to be played on 14th and 16th June, respectively. The remaining three ODIs will be played at Colombo on 19th, 21st, and 24th June. Each ODI will begin at 2 pm IST.

After the conclusion of the limited-overs series, both sides will clash in two test matches at the Galle. The 1st Test will be played from 29th June to 3rd July. Meanwhile, the 2nd Test will commence on 8th July.
