India’s three-month tour of Australia begins with the three-match T20I series starting on November 21st at the Gabba in Brisbane. Going by the recent form, India are expected to run through the hosts but only Pakistan and India are ranked higher than Australia in the T20I format. If the Aussies manage to whitewash the visitors, they can regain the 2nd rank. Team India is filled with consistent performers from the IPL who are expected to prove their mettle on this tour.

0 – All the 15 T20Is between India and Australia featured both MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. With Dhoni missing out from the T20I squad for this series, it will witness the first instance when India play a T20I against Australia without Dhoni in the playing XI.

96 – Rohit Sharma has hit 96 sixes in T20I cricket. Only Chris Gayle (103) and Martin Guptill (103) have hit over 100 sixes in this format. Rohit needs 65 more runs to become the leading run-getter in the T20I format surpassing Guptill’s tally of 2271.
198 – Number of dismissals Dinesh Karthik has effected in his Twenty20 career as a wicketkeeper. He needs two more dismissals to become the 4th keeper with 200 T20 dismissals.
423 – Virat Kohli has scored 423 runs in T20I cricket against Australia; the most he has against any team in this format. Kohli scored those runs in only 11 innings with the help of four fifties at an average of 60.42.
Kohli scored 386 runs in eight innings at an average of 96.5 in T20I wins against the Aussies but only 37 runs in three T20I defeats against them.
2988 – Dinesh Karthik is 12 runs away from completing 3000 runs in international cricket. Karthik has scored 1663 runs in ODIs, 1025 in Test cricket and 300 runs in the T20Is.
