Australia Women vs New Zealand Women Head-to-Head in T20Is, ODIs, Test & Records

Defending champions Australia (AUS) and their Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand (NZ) will rub shoulders with each other in match no. three (Group A) of the eighth edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on a Super Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Boland Park in Paarl. The game is scheduled to take place at 22.30 PM (IST) and 19.00 PM (local time). The Aussies and the White Ferns are placed in Group A with the likes of Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Bangladesh.

Notably, the Australians are the most successful side in the history of the competition having won the global event for a record five times. They lifted their maiden trophy by defeating New Zealand by a margin of just three runs in the finals of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 in 2010 in Bridgetown. Notably, their fifth title triumph came in 2020 as they defeated Asian giants India by 85 runs at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Ahead of the upcoming World Cup, Meg Lanning and her side are favourites yet again to seal their sixth title in South Africa. The Aussies would be hoping to begin their campaign with a bang against their neighbours. On the other hand, two-time runners-up New Zealand will look to claim their maiden title by beginning the tournament on a positive note.
