Bangladesh announces squad for the T20 series against Zimbabwe: Bangladesh selectors have retained the 14 players who had made the cut for the 3rd ODI v Zimbabwe. Kamrul Islam Rabbi received a call up for his maiden T20I series.
Shakib Al Hasan has not been added to the squad, as he will remain with his family in the United States. Soumya Sarkar is injured, Rubel Hossain is also recovering from calf trouble while Rony Talukdar and Sohag Gazi have been dropped.
The selectors have included the likes of Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah, Al-Amin Hossain, Anamul Haque and Rabbi into the T20 squad to fill up the spots.
Mahmudullah got his spot back after missing out the T20s against South Africa due to a finger injury. Anamul hasn’t played an international game since the World Cup this year.
In: Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah, Al-Amin Hossain, Anamul Haque, Kamrul Islam Rabbi.
Out: Rony Talukdar (dropped), Soumya Sarkar (injured), Shakib Al Hasan (given paternity leave), Sohag Gazi (dropped), Rubel Hossain (recovering from injury).
