The Bangladesh team is in India, they’re not here to play the home team but will face-off against Afghanistan. The two teams will play a three-match T20I series in Dehradun, the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium will make its international debut and host all the matches of the series. After almost two months of Indian Premier League (IPL) international cricket finally returns to the fore.

Skipper Shakib Al Hasan has little time to get the unit back together as they play the opening match of the series tomorrow. But the team devised a beautiful method to increase the bond in the dressing-room. A video posted on Shakib’s social media handles shows all the players in the change room, singing and dancing, some are banging the bench while others have their hands on the furniture.

They’re singing a very popular Bengali song, ‘Oporadhi’, the video soon got a lot of attention as the vibe among the boys is excellent and the music is catchy as well. Within 5 hours from the time it was posted on Shakib’s Facebook page it already has 1 million views and 40,000 people have shared it. The team sung the whole song as the video is over 3 minutes in length.

Watch Shakib Al Hasan & Co perform the song here:

Friday wasn’t quite the best of days for Bangladesh as they lost the warm-up T20 match to Afghanistan A by a big 8-wicket margin. The visitors were batting first and posted 145 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. It proved to be an easy haul for Afghanistan A as they breached past the target in 17.2 overs and with 8 wickets in hand.

Bangladesh will want to shrug it off and focus on the first match of the series. The Afghan team is a tough nut at least in the shortest format of the game and it is expected to be a really well-fought series.
