The Bangladesh cricketers are expected to sport black armbands in the game against India. This would be with respect to the memory of the passengers who lost their lives in a plane crash in Kathmandu, Nepal. Skipper Mahmudullah Riyad confirmed the same ahead of the T20I against India.

A couple of days earlier, a US Bangladesh Airlines flight BS-211 took off from Dhaka. However, the plane crashed at a football ground near the Tribhuvan International Airport. Reports suggested at least 50 people died in the crash out of which 32 were Bangladeshi residents.

The Nidahas Trophy has been going in full swing with all teams in the fray for a spot in the final. While India began with a loss to Sri Lanka, they came back with comprehensive wins against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the next two matches. On the other hand, Bangladesh went on to chase a 215-run target following their astounding loss to India. It promises to be an exciting contest at the R Premadasa Stadium on March 14.
