Bangladesh to host the Asia cup for the third consecutive time in Feb 2016: The prestigious Asia cup will again be held in Bangladesh for the third successive year. It was decided thus at a meeting in Singapore on Tuesday. The five-nation regional tournament featuring the hosts, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and an Associate, will begin on February 24, 2016, and the final will be held on March 6, 2016.

“Pakistan raised the point that Bangladesh should host next year’s Asia Cup and everyone agreed,” BCB president Nazmul Hassan told reporters in Dhaka on Wednesday. “Four Test nations will get direct entry while one Associate nation will come through the qualifying tournament. We also discussed whether there can be more cricket at the Under-19 level between the Asian countries.”

At the end of November, Afghanistan, Oman, Hong Kong and UAE will battle it out for a place in the Asia cup.  The tournament promises to thrill fervid cricket followers into pieces with the clash of the Asian superpowers offering top class entertainment.
