Sajid Khan, Pakistan’s off-spinner who is playing just his fourth Test, bowled a magical spell of 8/42 to bowl Bangladesh out for mere 87 runs in reply to Pakistan’s 300/4 in the first innings. After winning the toss in the second Test, Babar Azam opted to bat first at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka and declared at 300 in rain-curtailed Test match. From there on, it was all about the spinner Sajid Khan.

Sajid stunned Bangladesh in a terrific display of spin bowling with figures of 8/42, the fourth-best by a Pakistan bowler, to bowl them out for 87. Following on, Mushfiqur Rahim and the in-form batter Liton Das scored 48 and 45 respectively while Shakib Al Hasan scored the lone half-century for Bangladesh in this Test. Sajid Khan continued his form from the first innings to fetch four more wickets as the skipper Babar Azam also took the first wicket of his international career.

With match figures of 12/128, Sajid Khan was declared the Player of the Match as Pakistan won the Test series 2-0 and also clean swept the tour 5-0 earlier, winning the T20I series 3-0. With this loss, Bangladesh remain winless against Pakistan in their Test history as they lost their 12th Test against the Men in Green, managing only a draw in 2015.
