The lockdown period in India have been grabbing the limelight owing to the massive coronavirus outbreak. The last few days have been full of turbulence for people across the globe due to the rise of the COVID-19 cases. The death tolls showing no signs of slowing down either. Such has been the situation that the government around the world can’t afford to drop their guard down.

The vaccines are yet to come and light is yet to be seen at the end of the tunnel. In a bid to mitigate the damage caused by the ungodly virus, lockdown has been declared in various parts across the globe. People have been constantly been asked to stay indoors in quarantine, rather than going out of their homes. It has also been iterated not to attend social gatherings in the crisis situation.

Rahul Dravid, the quarantine example

In the meantime, Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, had a unique method of making people aware. They brought forth former Indian batsman Rahul Dravid’s example to show the importance of staying indoors until the last day of the quarantine period. Dravid was a kind of batter, who hardly gave up the ghost under pressure and was rock-solid in his approach.

It was an arduous task for the bowlers to get under his skins. The veteran used to sweat and water used to flood his helmet when he used to bat. But at no point in time, he stopped. His immense ability to concentrate also made him a safe fielder in the slip cordon.

He has a number of records to his name in his illustrious career, which was somewhat overshadowed by Sachin Tendulkar. AAP posted a picture where Dravid was seen, batting until the last wicket. From opening wicket Virender Sehwag, Dravid went to the very end.

The Twitter handle of the political party wrote, “He didn’t leave the crease and batted till the end. We all need to play similar inning against #corona. Don’t leave your crease (home) and make sure you will bat till the end like THE WALL did! Long innings might seem exhausting but they are necessary to save the match.”
