Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder ended up, having pretty similar fates in the round-robin stage of the 2019-20 BBL. Both teams won six out of 14 matches with pretty identical net run rates. The sides would now be locking horns in the Eliminator on Thursday, January 30 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. In their previous meeting at the venue, the Hurricanes emerged victorious by 57 runs.
In fact, in Hobart, the Hurricanes have gotten the better of the Thunder six out of seven times. The Thunder started the tournament with a few wins, but their campaign fell away a tad in the middle.
