Preview for Dream11 Fantasy
The Adelaide Strikers will face the Sydney Sixers in a quick rematch after losing to them only on Sunday (January 5). This time around though the Strikers will be facing the opposition in front of their fans at the Adelaide Oval which will definitely make a massive difference to the team. In the previous face-off, the Sixers chased down 177 with seven wickets in hand thanks to Josh Philippe’s unbeaten 83.
As far as the standings are concerned, the Men in Magenta are at the second position after playing seven matches with five wins and 10 points to their name. The Strikers are only behind them with three wins in six matches and two losses. A win in this encounter will strengthen their place in the top four even as Brisbane Heat is gaining momentum with two consecutive wins.
The weather is absolutely perfect in Adelaide on Wednesday. There is no chance of rain playing spoilsport while the temperature is expected to hover 32-36 Degrees Celsius according to AccuWeather. The players will most probably struggle due to excessive heat.
Two matches have taken place so far at the venue this season with one of them being an 18-over per-side affair. The Strikers though lost the previous game here by just three runs to the Thunder. It seems to be a bat-first wicket though and the trend should continue.
Average first innings score: 168 (Only completed match at the venue this season)
Record of the chasing teams: Won – 0; Lost – 1
The 18-over per side match between the Strikers and Scorchers was also won by the team batting first.
