Tom Banton, the right-handed wicketkeeper from England, is already in the spotlight due to his power-hitting calibre. He has certainly emerged as one of the best players in the shorter format of the game and the young cricketer is currently playing for Brisbane Heat in Big Bash League 2019-20. Recently, in a BBL game, he smashed five massive sixes in a row that left fans and players on the ground awestruck.

The 21-year-old player has played for several teams in different T20 tournaments and showed his class with the wooden sword in his hands. His game sense and ability to smash the bowlers for sixes is incomparable due to which he also got his maiden call up from the national side in 2019. So far he has not managed to give a breakthrough performance for England but he is being looked as the future star for the three lions.

On Monday, Brisbane Heat locked horns with Sydney Thunder in a rain-affected match that was reduced to an 8-over-per side game. He opened the batting for alongside Chris Lynn. All the eyes were on the Heat skipper but out of nowhere, Banton stole the limelight as he smashed two boundaries and one six in the first over of the innings.

He was in no mood to spare Thunder’s bowlers and was smashing them all across the park. In the third over, he showed his aggressive approach against spinner Arjun Nair and smashed him for five sixes in a row. It turned out to be one of the biggest highlights of the game and the spectators were enjoying his batting to the fullest. There was no doubt about the fact the fans got a match worth every penny they spend on the tickets of the game.

Coming onto the game, Brisbane Heat defeated Sydney Thunder by a margin of 16 runs and managed to pull off their third victory in the ongoing tournament. Tom Banton was awarded Man of the Match for his swashbuckling knock of 56 runs off 19 balls with seven massive sixes and two boundaries. Also, he smashed the second-fastest fifty in the history of BBL that he scored in just 16 balls.
