Brisbane Heat now has won four of their last five matches in the BBL 2020-21 as they got the better of Melbourne Renegades by five wickets on Thursday. Renegades lost both Finch and Marsh by 8th over and were struggling at 59/4. However, Beau Webster (50*) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (40) powered the Renegades to 149/6. Chris Lynn anchored the chase with a 40-ball 50 as Brisbane looked cruising in the chase. However, four wickets for 12 runs put pressure on the Brisbane franchise but safely go to the target with 8 balls to spare.

Here are all the statistical highlights from Brisbane Heat’s 5-wicket win during HEA vs REN game:

Brisbane Heat’s rare win over Renegades:

1 – The HEA vs REN game is now the first-ever instance of Brisbane Heat successfully chasing down a target against Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League.

The Brisbane franchise ended up on the losing side on all the four occasions where they had to chase against the Renegades before Thursday’s fixture. Overall, this was only the 4th instance of Brisbane Heat getting the better of Renegades across 14 meetings in the league.

1 – Brisbane Heat recorded their first win in the BBL at the Manuka Oval as they lost on both occasions when they played at this venue earlier this season. On the other hand, Renegades lost both the matches they played in Canberra this season having won on both occasions before.

Lynn extends his lead:

22 – Chris Lynn became the first player to smash 21 fifties in the history of Big Bash League by going past Shaun Marsh’s tally of 20 fifties. Lynn now has 22 scores of 50+ runs in this league which are two more than any other player.

A rare BBL duck for Marsh:

2 – Only the 2nd time Shaun Marsh has been dismissed for a duck in the Big Bash League. His other suck in this league came in the 2018-19 season while representing the Perth Scorchers against his current team Melbourne Renegades.

20.14 – Marsh has a batting average of 20.14 in the BBL against Brisbane Heat as he scored 141 runs against them across 8 innings with a best score of 37. Brisbane Heat is the only team against which Shaun has not scored a fifty in the BBL thus far.

Finch on the top of Renegades list:

72 – Aaron Finch became the most capped player in the Big Bash League for the Melbourne Renegades during the HEA vs REN game. Finch, with 72 matches, has gone past Tom Cooper’s tall of 71 games for the Renegades.

13 – The 13 runs scored by Finch during HEA vs REN game are the 2nd fewest he ever scored in a BBL game against Brisbane Heat. He made only 8 runs in the 2017-18 season game before getting caught behind off Shadab Khan. Finch played nine BBL games against Heat in which he scored more than 20 runs in seven of them including fifties on five occasions.
