The ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) has witnessed some exciting action over the 22 yards and hence, cricket fans have been thoroughly entertained. While the likes of Josh Philippe and Glenn Maxwell have made their bat talk, Andrew Tye and Zahir Khan have been among the wickets. On Tuesday (December 21) however, fans witnessed the bromance of Daniel Worrall and Peter Siddle on the field.

Siddle gave a kiss on Worrall’ cheek and the video went viral in no time. The incident took place during the Sydney Sixers vs Adelaide Strikers encounter at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Defending 147 at the venue, Worrall was given the first over and captain Siddle was fielding inside the circle. Having bowled the first ball, the right-arm pacer had some discussion with Siddle before the second delivery.

The duo seemed to have involved in some amusing conversation as Siddle, smilingly, gave a kiss on Worrall’ cheek. The latter also accepted his captain’s gesture. Needless to mention, the clip of the incident got viral in no time as fans gave their opinion on the duo’s romance.

Adelaide Strikers posted 147/8 while batting first against Sydney Sixers

Speaking of how the game has panned out, the coin landed in Adelaide’s favour as Siddle opted to bat first at the SCG. The Strikers didn’t get off to a brilliant start as openers Jake Weatherald and Matthew Short were dismissed inside the powerplay overs. Matt Renshaw and Jonathan Wells did get steady starts but none of the two could play a substantial knock.

Thomas Kelly was Adelaide’s stand-out performer as he scored a 34-ball 41 to steady the ship for his side. However, the lower order couldn’t do much as the Strikers were restricted to 147/8 in their allotted 20 overs. All-rounders Sean Abbott and Daniel Christian made the ball talk and took three wickets apiece for the Sixers.

With a paltry-looking total on the board, the Strikers needed some early wickets in the powerplay overs which they didn’t get. Josh Philippe and James Vince added 44 runs for the first wicket before the latter fell prey to left-arm spinner Fawad Ahmed. The Strikers now need to bowl exceptionally well to upset the defending champions.
