Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades, both have got 8 points in 5 games courtesy 4 victories, but the Renegades have a better net run rate and on the basis of that, they are positioned second in the points table, while the Scorchers are a couple of positions below at no. 4. However both the teams will have the opportunity to make their way to the top of the table with a victory tomorrow.

The last time the Renegades had faced the Scorchers, it had resulted in a loss for them, but they are a powerful side and are very much capable of pulling off a revenge in the return encounter. The Scorchers, on the other hand, will be looking for a similar result they had last time.

Here’s what we, at CricTracker predict will be the final result-

Melbourne Renegades

The Renegades made a change in the batting order in the last game and promoted Mohammad Nabi to no. 4 and that move turned out to be a masterstroke as the former Afghanistan captain smashed it to all corners. He got his first fifty in the tournament and made the chase of 158 incredibly easier for the Men in Red. It won’t be surprising if Nabi bats at 4 again as it provides a bit of depth to the Renegades batting.

Nabi has excelled with the ball as well for the Renegades as he bowled tight early on in the powerplay and hasn’t given the batsmen anything to get away. Hardly has he gone for more than 7 runs an over in any of the games in the tournament which is magnificent to say the least. Dwayne Bravo and Brad Hogg are the other two vital cogs of the Renegades bowling.

Predicted XI: Aaron Finch (C), Marcus Harris, Cameron White, Tom Cooper, Brad Hodge, Dwayne Bravo, Mohammad Nabi, Tim Ludeman, Kane Richardson, Brad Hogg, Jack Wildermuth

Perth Scorchers

The Scorchers after winning their first 4 games in a row finally tasted the first defeat of their campaign at the Gabba the other night and it was a huge defeat. They were bundled out for 142 chasing down the target of 192 and that diminished their net run rate so much that they slipped to no. 4 from no. 1 in the standings. They will be itching to get out there on the ground and get back to winning ways, but it won’t be easy as they are up against a team which has got quite a few match winners.

The Scorchers clearly missed their heavyweight bowler Mitchell Johnson in the last game, but the big fellow is likely to return in the XI tomorrow and he will want to make early inroads with the new ball. He has been swinging the ball consistently of late and the Scorchers will be hoping for a lethal spell from him up front.

Predicted XI: William Bosisto, Micheal Klinger, Hilton Cartwright, Ashton Turner, Adam Voges, Ashton Agar, David Willey, Josh Inglis(wk), Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye, Mitchell Johnson

We believe the Melbourne Renegades will emerge victorious against the Perth Scorchers.
