Perth Scorchers:
The Perth Scorchers pace-bowling trio of Mitchell Johnson, Jhye Richardson and Andrew Tye seems unstoppable at the moment considering the manner in which they restricted a formidable Sixers outfit to a score of simply 132. Andrew Tye recorded his third ever hat-trick in T20 cricket against the Sixers with his variations in line and length which makes him someone to watch out for even the best of batsmen.
Ashton Turner who was named the man of the match in the last clash seems in good nick after an aggressive knock against the Sixers which indicated the fine nick he is in. Captain Voges has been increasingly shrewd with his decision-making and will be eager to make it 2 out of 2 tomorrow. Openers Bosisto and Phillippe will be looking to step up and make an impact after meekly surrendering their wickets to Sean Abbott off two consecutive deliveries.
Expected Lineup: Bosisto, Phillippe, Willey, Cartwright, Turner, Voges, Agar, Inglis, Richardson, Tye, Johnson
Melbourne Stars:
The Melbourne Stars enjoy an enviable mix of aggression and experience in the form of Pieterson, Maxwell, Ben Dunk and Marcus Stoinis who are more than capable of winning the match single-handedly on their day. With the likes of Hastings, Faulkner, Zampa and Beer in the bowling department, the Stars will be backing themselves as trophy contenders.
Stoinis is clearly enjoying a golden run at the moment and needs to be promoted up the order while the likes of Wright, Pieterson and Maxwell clearly need to deliver at the standards expected from them. Ben Dunk will be kicking himself after his sloppy dismissal and looking to make up by smashing a few to the fence against the Scorchers. Faulkner clearly needs to step up and contribute with his performances currently a pale shadow of what he is capable of.
Expected Lineup: Dunk, Wright, Pieterson, Maxwell, Stoinis, Faulkner, Gulbis, Hastings, Zampa, Butland, Beer.
