BCCI announces 30 probable players ahead of South Africa series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced 30 probable players ahead of South Africa’s tour of India beginning from the 2nd of October. The list includes names like Mohmmad Shami, Ravindra Jadeja and Pragyan Ojha.

Mohmmad Shami has been out of reckoning after the ICC World Cup 2015 because of knee surgery as he also missed the historic Test series against Sri Lanka. Pragyan Ojha will also make a comeback in the squad after undergoing a change in his bowling action following suspicion of it being illegal. He has been cleared by the ICC with remodeled action while playing for India against Australia A.

The likes of Gautuam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, were not even considered for 30-man probable squad indicating that they are out of the mix as far as selection in the senior team is considered. The probable list comprises of 12 specialist batsmen, 3 wicket keepers, one all-rounder and 14 bowlers including 8 fast bowlers and 6 spinners.

Shami and Saha’s fitness will be assessed ahead of tough series comprising of 3 T20I, 5 One day Internationals and 4 Test matches.

The camp will be held in Bangalore from 21st to 27th September.

MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Chetshwar Pujara, Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Stuart Binny, Saha, Naman Ojha, R Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, Karun Nair, Suresh Raina, Mohmmad Shami, Axar Patel, Pragyan Ojha, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohit Sharma, Karn Sharma, Ambati Rayadu, Dhawal Kulkarni, Kedar Jadhav and Manish Pandey.
