BCCI announces India A squad for South Africa tour

The Indian A squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa in July-August has been announced by the BCCI. Manish Pandey has been bestowed with the captain duties for the One-Day series while Karun Nair will captain the Test team. India A will play a tri-series featuring South Africa and Australia, which will be followed by two four-day matches against the hosts.

Apart from Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya has been picked up for the One-Day squad. Basil Thampi, Mohammed Siraj and Siddarth Kaul who were the recent revelations in the IPL 2017, were also for the One-Day squad. Aniket Choudhary, another star of IPL season 10, was picked up for the four-day squad. Siraj also found a spot in the four-day squad.

While Pant found a place in the One-Day team, Ishan Kishan was picked up for the four-day squad. Priyank Panchal and Sudip Chatterjee were also picked up for the four-day match squad following their good performances in the last season of Ranji Trophy.
