BCCI announces squads for Under-19 Challenger Trophy

The All-India Junior Selection Committee of BCCI announced the squads for the Under-19 Challenger Trophy to be held at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh. The tournament will be a 4-day affair comprising of 4 one-day games from October 26 to 29.

The tournament will feature three league games where India Blue, India Red and India Green will face each other once before two of the three teams will proceed to the final on October 29. A total of 39 names were announced with each squad made up of 13 players.

Thane-Born Prithvi Shaw was named in the India Blue squad. Shaw came to the limelight by scoring 546 in a 2013 Harris Shield elite division match until the record was surpassed by Pranav Dhanawade in January 2016.

India Blue: Prithvi Shaw, Digvijay Rangi, Daryl S Ferrario, Harvik Desai, S.Lokeshwar, Suyash Prabhudessai, Ninad Ratwa, S.Ajith Ram, Akul Pratap Pandove, R S Jaganath Sinivas, Kamlesh Nagarkothi, Arzan Nagwaswalla, Vivekanand Tiwari.

India Green: Rohan SK, Jyotsnil Singh, Chandan Sahani, Priyam Kumar Garg, Sandeep Kumar Tomar, Adeeb Usmani, Anukul Roy, Shiva Singh, Abhishek Shrivastav, P Girinath Reddy, Izan Sayed, Diprajsinh Chudasama, Shubham Arora.

India Red: Shubman Gill, Ankush Wakode, Salman Khan, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Tamore, Sudip Kumar Gharami, Ankur Paul, Ayush Jamwal, Rahul Chahar, Rishabh Bhagat, Vishvash Malik, Yash Thakur, Simarjeet Singh.
