BCCI announces the venues for the ICC World T20, 2016: The Board Control for cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the venues for the ICC World T20 2016, that is to be held in India. The series will go live from the 11th of March to 3rd of April and India will play host to 16 countries around the world who will witness and be a part of the clash for the title.
Bengaluru, Chennai, Dharamshala, Manali, Mumbai, Nagpur and New Delhi are the venues where the matches will be held; Kolkata will be the host to the finals. These venues qualify all the terms and conditions prescribed by ICC and BCCI adhering to all the statutory obligations that are mandatory for hosting an international event.
From the BCCI desk, on the announcement of the venues, Honorary Secretary of BCCI Mr. Anurag Thakur said, “BCCI is extremely proud to host this prestigious event. All the venues identified have hosted many prestigious matches. With this announcement, we have begun our preparations in right earnest. We want this World Twenty20 to be a memorable experience for our participants and fans. I am confident that all the venues nominated will deliver a world-class event.”
A Managing Committee has been formed by the BCCI for the ICC World T20 that Comprises of the following members including Mr. Jagmohan Dalmia who will lead the committee, as the chairman:

Mr. Amitabh Choudhary, Hon. Joint Secretary, BCCI.
Mr. Anirudh Chaudhry, Hon. Treasurer, BCCI.
Mr. G. Ganga Raju, Vice President, BCCI.
Mr. Rajeev Shukla, Chairman, IPL.
Mr. Ashish Shelar, Vice President, Mumbai Cricket Association.
Mr. Ashirbad Behera, Hon. Secretary, Orissa Cricket Association.
