The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is busy organising the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While the tournament is going smoothly this time around without any controversies, they have taken care of the payments which are to be made to the Cricket Associations. A lot of things come into the consideration when a venue has to host a cricket match amongst which the security of the players and the fans are of utmost importance.

Moreover, hosting the matches of the IPL is a huge responsibility as almost every game is a sold out given the popularity in the country. Also, the associations are bound to take care of a lot of logistical issues as well with the introduction of the Decision Review System (DRS). Many times it has happened that the venues haven’t received their payments on time and there was a sense of dissatisfaction towards the board.
