The Sunrisers Hyderabad pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar recently quoted in an interview that it will be a big task to get the Royal Challengers Bangalore top order out in the finals of the 2016 edition of the IPL.

Bhuvi, who is the current Purple cap holder in the tournament, exclaimed that he realises that the RCB top order that boasts of players like Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Shane Watson, is a tough lineup to bowl to.

“We will definitely strategise because I read somewhere the other day that Virat Kohli has scored 35 percent of the RCB’s runs. It will be a big task for us to get Gayle, Virat, AB and later Watson out. We are hoping for a good contest,” Bhuvi said after Sunrisers won the crucial Qualifier 2 against the Gujarat Lions last night.

He further said that the team will enjoy the moment before heading into the crunch game in Bengaluru that promises to be a run feast. “We will enjoy for now because we know there is a pressure match coming up,”

He also talked about how the team missed Mustafizur Rahman in the previous match but believed that Trent Boult did a fairly good job. “Mustafizur did really well but losing him in a crucial game wasn’t good for us but Boult did very well. It’s a part of the game that he went for a few runs in the second last over. But if you look at him, he has really worked hard in the nets. He knew that there might be a chance for him to play either semifinals or finals but you can’t say he has given runs; it’s a part of the game. Losing Fizz wasn’t good for us,”

Speaking on his own form and comeback after the injury, Kumar said that he had got pace but lost his swing control. He added that he worked hard on his strengths and weaknesses to emerge as a better bowler that he is now. “It took me some time to recover after the Australia tour. Things changed a lot. I got the pace but lost swing, which is my strength and I did not want to lose it. I found that there were flaws in technique and sometimes conditions didn’t support me. I worked on it. I learnt that I had strayed from the basics. But I worked hard on getting it back,” quipped Bhuvi.
