Bangladesh Premier League is just 4 days away as the squads are gearing up for the fierce competition. The sixth edition of the tournament is going to be bigger than ever. The seven teams are sweating it out in the training camps as the opening day inches closer. The franchise owners have done all the buying and are looking forward to winning the title.

That said, for winning the trophy you need a great set of bowlers. The tournament has some outstanding bowlers. The entertainers are the batsmen for sure but the sound of smashing wickets is more satisfying than anything else in the sport. Bowling in the shortest format of the game is not at all easy. However, the list of 5 bowlers presented to you are the masters of their trade and are expected to decorate BPL with some great bowling.

#1 Mustafizur Rahman – Rajshahi Kings

Mustafizur shot to fame after his heroics in the Indian Premier League. He is one of the best bowlers in the world when it comes to the shortest format of the game. He has that fantastic slower delivery and also a toe-crushing yorker. The Fizz, who is known for the pace he generates and the swing he gets, was one of the leading wicket-takers in the title-winning campaign for Sunrisers Hyderabad a season ago.

Mustafizur has never looked back since. He is a match-winner and has the ability to turn the game on its head. He can grab some important wickets upfront and can also do the damage at the end. Rahman is a fine young bowler and Rajshahi Kings have so much hope from this 22-year-old fast bowler. The young man has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders.

#2 Mohammad Amir – Dhaka Dynamites

Mohammad Amir is one of the finest bowlers of this generation. He has been quiet with the ball for some time now but this is a great opportunity for him to gain back his form. Amir is unplayable when he is at his scintillating best. Even the likes of Virat Kohli have termed him as the hardest to play.

Amir made his comeback in international cricket in 2016 and has never looked back since. His slanting outswingers and those devastating inswingers are anything but playable. The left-arm pacer has a good record to his name and is almost always amongst the wicket-takers. He needs no introduction to the world stage and Dhaka Dynamites are surely hoping for Amir to be at his best.

#3 Rashid Khan – Comilla Victorians

Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan bowler who has shaken the world with his heroics. Khan, only 19 years of age is already a star in his country. He is an inspiration to many and a star for countless people. The wrist spinner is termed as the next big thing in the cricketing world. His entry into the Bangladesh Premier League will earn them a lot of fans from Afghanistan as well.

His leg-spinners are hard to play and his googlies are extremely well disguised. At the age of 19, Rashid has over 42 wickets already to his name. His economy rate is just 5.91 which is lower than most in the T20Is. The fact that he averages 14 balls per wicket is an achievement in itself. Khan will be pivotal for the Victorians as they will look to use him skillfully.

#4 Sunil Narine – Dhaka Dynamites

Sunil Narine, the mystery bowler, is a household name in India and especially in Kolkata. He is a favourite among many IPL fans and is about to become famous in Dhaka. Narine is a bowler who is bang on every single game. He seldom has a bad day and going wicket-less is not his thing. Sunil is a match-winner.

His fingers cast a spell on the ball and that is why it is hard for the players to read. That said, Sunil is also a handy batter. He recently opened in the IPL for KKR and was successful there too. His strokeplay was loved by the cricketing world and Dhaka Dynamites might have landed an all-rounder in him. Narine, however, averages 12.25 balls per wicket in the T20Is which more than impressive.

#5 Liam Plunkett – Sylhet Sixers

Liam Plunkett, the English fast bowler is a talented player. He is one of those experienced campaigners who has been through the tough days. Plunkett has been very good for England and has been a regular since the last couple of seasons. He is a great bowler and also a handy batsman as well.

Liam was ousted in 2007 and had to get back to basics. However, the 32-year-old never gave up and is back in the action for England now. The fighter in him and the attitude he brings to the team is invaluable. Plunkett being a fast bowler averages 20 in the T20Is. The Sixers will not only use him as a bowler but also as a pinch hitter. He can surely hit the ball hard and has the ability to clear the ropes with ease.
