The Dhaka Platoon would’ve dearly wished for a victory in the previous match against the Rangpur Rangers. But that wasn’t the case and now they need a victory to finish in the top two of the table in the ongoing BPL 2029-20. The Rangers slapped them with an 11-run defeat last time around. The Platoon are next set to lock horns with the Khulna Tigers in the final round-robin game of the BPL.

The Tigers, on the other hand, beat the Cumilla Warriors by 92 runs in their last game. They are now second on the points table and have a realistic chance of even staying there if Dhaka Platoon and Rajshahi Royals lose their matches on Saturday. Mushfiqur Rahim’s Tigers lost a bit of momentum midway through the season. However, the Tigers are seeming to peak at the appropriate time.
