Amidst all the turmoil surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, cricket is slowly, but surely making its way into the scheme of things. After the Taipei T10 League, Vincy T10 League and Vanuatu T10 League, Hong Kong has introduced its own Bush Rangers Challenge T20 Challenge. The tournament is scheduled to get underway on Wednesday, May 27 and is expected to be a thrilling affair.

Five franchises- C.W Fighters, Kowloon Dragons, Suen Wan Rangers, Kau Hui Eagles and Geo Fox- are set to fight it out. 12 matches will take place across 13 days with the final to be played on Monday, June 8. The coronavirus has found its way into Hong Kong, but hasn’t wreaked a lot of havoc.

Out of the 1,066 confirmed cases, 1,030 persons have already recovered. Most importantly, only four people have lost their lives as compared to 3,46,000 deaths across the globe. The low death toll must have prompted the authorities to take the risk of conducting the T20 tournament.
