Chennai Super Kings share a video of MS Dhoni riding a tractor

It’s June 2020 and in the very next month, MS Dhoni would be celebrating his 39th birthday. As far as his cricket career is concerned, he is, well and truly, at the fag end of it. He isn’t a spring chicken as he used to be even a few years back. Yet, he is deemed to be a passionate character, who doesn’t give up the ghost easily. He has often been lauded for his calm demeanour in the middle.

He was last seen on the park in the 2019 edition of the World Cup in England and Wales. In the semi-final, Martin Guptill ran him out in Manchester, and that was the last time Dhoni was seen, walking off the pitch. At the present point in time, he has been spending his time with wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva at home as India goes though the suffering of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the meantime, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), uploaded a video where Dhoni can be seen, riding a tractor. Dhoni’s love for bikes from the start of his career is an open secret and the recent clip also went viral to a large extent.

CSK, for whom he plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), captioned the video and wrote, “#Thala Dhoni meets Raja Sir in his newest beast! #HBDIlayaraja #WhistlePodu,”

Dhoni was set to make a comeback in the 2020 edition of the IPL. He also attended the training camp, where he, reportedly, scored a century. But just when he was about to mark his return, the COVID-19 played spoilsport. After the IPL initially getting postponed until April 15, it had to be deferred for an indefinite time period after the lockdown was extended until May 3.

Recently, his spouse Sakshi came on Instagram Live with CSK and said that Dhoni has been busy, playing PUBG and getting his bikes back in shape. She also sounded surprised by how rumours of her husband retiring from cricket has been doing the rounds. Recently the hashtag ‘DhoniRetires’ trended on Twitter and it didn’t go down well with Sakshi by any stretch of the imagination.
