Chris Gayle calls Virat Kohli a fantastic batsman and expects him to do better

Indian Test captain Virat Kohli has been in a form of his own, he has changed the dynamics of the game with his batting. A lot of people term his achievements on the cricket field inhumanly and rate him to scale unseen heights by the end of his career. He recently scored the third triple century of his Test career all of which have come in 2016. It also ensured Team India beat England in the 4th Test at Mumbai and grabbed the series 3-0.

Virat’s Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Chris Gayle too took the opportunity to praise him and called him a fantastic batsman and said that whatever Virat has achieved hasn’t come to him as a surprise. “Virat is a fantastic batsman we all know that.. what he has done is not surprising at all. There will be many more to come for sure,” Gayle was quoted by PTI on Monday (December 12).

The dashing West Indian is in India to support the USL – Diageo’s Road to Safety initiative to encourage fans to enjoy this festive season with a sense of responsibly. Gayle signed a pledge to ‘Never Drink and Drive’ and committed himself to the initiative.

Giving his opinion about the public welfare initiative, he said, “India holds a special place in my heart and I’ve always been embraced and accepted by my fans here. Through this initiative, I hope to encourage people to Never Drink and Drive and celebrate responsibly during the upcoming festive season.” Gayle said.

Virat and Chris Gayle share an exciting friendship bond which they have developed and cherished over the years while playing for the RCB in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite being two completely different type of players and characters they have immense mutual respect for one another and appreciate one another’s on-field achievements as well.
