December 25 is one of the most celebrated days throughout the world. Christmas Day is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. With New Year also approaching, there is always a happy environment during this period all over the World and it is no different with Chris Gayle who is always in the party mood. On Christmas Eve, the Caribbean superstar has asked for two things from Santa Claus while wishing his fans and followers.
Gayle who was recently in South Africa to participate in the Mzansi Super League (MSL) is currently on a break from the game having pulled out from Windies’ overseas assignments. He will most probably be back for the home series against England in January.
However, Gayle is demanding a bank account filled with a lot of money and a body with supreme fitness from Santa Claus. “Dear Santa, All I want is a fat bank account and a skinny body, please don’t mix it up again like last year! #MerryChristmas,” he wrote in his latest Instagram post.
Gayle to play World Cup?
Chris Gayle is most probably trying to keep himself fit for the World Cup. At 39, the left-hander is eyeing to bid adieu to the game after the showpiece event in England. However, just before India tour, he pulled out of the limited-overs leg and Bangladesh series. It will be interesting to see if the Universe Boss will be selected for the next series. His replacement though didn’t do much and the selectors will have no option but to bring back Gayle when he is available.
Presuming that the opening batsman will be back for his side, Gayle will play his first game on February 20 and it remains to be seen if he will hit the straps straightaway having struggled to score runs off late in any of the formats.
