Chris Gayle gifts a bat to Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan

West Indian star cricketer Chris Gayle spends a good amount of time in India, playing for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) absolutely loves being in India and enjoys lot of support, fan following and the country is almost a second home for him. Gayle surprised everyone including Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan himself when he gifted an autographed bat to the legend. A representative from his bat company handed it over to Mr. Bachchan at his residence in Mumbai.

Gayle uploaded the photo on his Twitter handle with a caption that read – ‘Proud to gift my Spartan bat to a legend @srbachchan, love his movies & his style, legend. Thanks @spartancricket’

Sr. Bachchan who was overwhelmed, quoted his tweet and said, ‘Mr Chris Gayle .. what an honour .. I never knew you would know me .. so humbled .. we are all great fans of yours !’

The Legend was humbled and said he didn’t know Gayle knew him and was a fan of Indian films. He posted the same photograph on his facebook page and wrote – ‘Chris Gayle !! the phenomenal cricketer from WI sent me a bat autographed .. amazing .. I never knew he was such a fan of our films .. humbled and so overwhelmed !!’

This is such a heartening gesture by Gayle and goes on to show the kind of human being he is. We all know how much Amitabh Bachchan loves cricket and always makes sure he Tweets best wishes and congratulates the Indian team and IPL teams as well ahead and after most games.
