Chris Gayle roped in for the Pakistan Super League: Swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle has been roped in to play in the inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 tournament proposed to be held in Doha from February 4 to 24, 2016.
According to Najam Sethi, head of the PSL secretariat in the Board, “We are in direct contact with him now after we spent lot of time trying to trace him and I am happy to report that he has consented to be part of the PSL.”
Former Pakistan cricketers Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja were last week been signed on as brand ambassadors for the T20 league.

Specialist T20 batsman Gayle has featured in T20 leagues all over the world including the Indian Premier League, the Australian Big Bash League and the Bangladesh Premier League.
Sethi added that nearly 80 overseas players have signed on the dotted line to take part in the PSL and the process of handpicking the best available 20 to 25 players would be finished soon.

Apart from Gayle, some other specialist T20 players including West Indians Keiron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Dwyane Smith, Sunil Narine along with players like Brendon McCullum and Kevin Peterson have been approached.
