Pakistan is all set to celebrate their 70th birthday, and a very special guest wished them through a video message. West Indies opener and Karachi Kings batsman Chris Gayle sent his warm wishes to the people of Pakistan through social media. Gayle is one of the most celebrated cricketers on social media. He stays very active on twitter and Instagram, and often finds himself in a scoop, all thanks to the pictures he posts. He had been seen having friendly banters with Pakistan’s Ahmed Shehzad in the past, as both of them took part in the PSL.

Earlier, the captain of Karachi Kings Kumar Sangakkara wished the people of Pakistan, ahead of their 70th birthday which will take place on 14th of August.“Hi, I am Kumar Sangakkara, the captain of Karachi Kings. I would like to send all my best wishes to the people of Pakistan who are celebrating their country’s 70th birthday. ‘Shukria’, keep supporting cricket, keep supporting Karachi Kings,” said Sangakkara, in a video message. Sangakkara has participated in many T20 competitions and is currently one of the most sought after players in the cricketing circuit, even though he retired from the game two years back.

The T20 creator

Gayle, in an interview, recently said that he has created T20 cricket. And he didn’t stop there. The mighty left-hander tried his hands in the commentary. According to Fox Sports, Gayle said, “Yes, it actually was made for me — or actually I should say I created T20 cricket.” The West Indian opener didn’t stop at that and added, “Being the creator of T20 cricket to let people, let players know there’s life in T20 cricket, let players know there are things that can be done in T20 cricket from a batting point of view.”

The World Boss concluded his commentary stint by saying, “Oh the storm is walking out to bat. Chris Gayle. Oh, this is going to be brutal. Oh, I am so sorry for the bowlers here. Oh, and they are probably shaking in their pants right now. Chris Gayle, you are the man. CG, you are the man. It’s Gayle-force. Look out!”

Chris Gayle is currently captaining the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots side in the ongoing CPL edition.
