In what can be called a shocking turnaround, explosive batsman Chris Lynn has been omitted from Queensland Bulls’ latest contract list for 2017-18 season. Lynn, who suffered a shoulder injury, playing for Kolkata Knight Riders during these year’s IPL, has undergone a surgery last month and will go through rehabilitative work until the end of this year.

An official statement from Queensland confirmed the development but also stated that he will be considered for selection as soon as he completes recovery. “While Brisbane Heat contracted player Lynn was not offered a Bulls contract, he will be considered for selection like any other player once he returns from the shoulder injury that currently has him sidelined until early next year,” the statement said.
Lynn also believes that it was the right decision to get operated, as that will help him participate in the upcoming tournaments without any health concerns.

Lynn backs his decision

“It has been frustrating but it was the right decision to get it done. I want to play through tournaments and hopefully, make a mark and be fully fit for 12 months. I want to put the shoulder injury to bed. I want to go back to enjoying my cricket and being pain-free. I have to change my dynamic slightly but I won’t be changing the way I bat,” Lynn had said.

Turning out for KKR

Lynn was in terrific form for KKR and have won quite a few games initially by providing them with a perfect platform during the initial overs of the game. He set the game up for Gautam Gambhir and his men until an injury ruled him out for quite a number of games before making a return towards the fag end of the tournament.

Lynn last represented Queensland four seasons back and has featured in just one Sheffield Shield match last season. However, his BBL record stays intact.
