The England all-rounder Sam Curran has emerged as an impactful player for the side ever since his debut. England and India are up against each other for the Test series now and Curran opened up about facing India and also the experiences he has had playing for the Chennai Super Kings. Amidst this series, Curran will be battling it out against a few of his fellow mates at CSK in what is already anticipated as a high-octane series.

IPL provides the players all over with the opportunity to interact with each other and they often speak how it also helps them to better their game. Sam Curran has shone for CSK in the IPL on quite a few occasions and has been crucial for the side. When asked about the transition of crossing paths with Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur as teammates a few months back and as oppositions now for the Tests, Curran pointed that when it comes to series they will be opposition.

“There are a couple of guys I got friendly with at the IPL, but come the series, they’ll obviously be enemies. They are really nice guys that I played with at Chennai and there’s a few I look forward to seeing.” Curran said as reported by ESPNcricinfo

Sam Curran has been one of the bowlers that skipper MS Dhoni has relied on in CSK. He has shown immense trust in the abilities of Curran as he was tried at the opening slot as well in the 2020 IPL. Dhoni had termed Curran as a complete player and the all-rounder feels that something like this coming from him boosts one’s confidence. He had also added that paying for CSK has helped him learn from the great players and their experiences.

“A player like Dhoni, he’s got such a big presence in the game. He’s achieved so many amazing things. Naturally, you get confidence from that. There’s nothing better for me as a younger player to get put in those scenarios. It’s a great franchise and hopefully, I can contribute more in the coming years.” Curran added.
