AB de Villiers embodies the saying ‘Cometh the hour, cometh the champion.’ With his incredible consistency, he has scored a stack of runs in crunch moments. On many occasions, he has single-handedly clinched the game from the opposition with his innate ability to hit the ball. His dominating shows with the bat have disturbed the sleeping patterns of many bowlers and the Proteas batter is one of the most followed and admired cricketers.
ABD has a huge fan base in India too, which is quite evident during the times of IPL. However, recently a fan posted a video of AB de Villiers on Twitter that grabbed the attention of the man himself. The clip displayed the batting firepower of de Villiers and had a piece of fitting music to it as well.
AB de Villiers reacts
Combining some of the best batting shots of the South African batter, the fan edited the video and captioned it as ‘Genius’. AB de Villiers himself replied to the video as he seemed to have liked it.
The video however ends with a few unpleasant words. Thus, taking that to consideration de Villiers replied to the post: “We can maybe get rid of the bad language though? Other than that, coolest video ever.” The post attracted a lot of comments wherein the Twitter users were amazed by the fact that AB de Villiers himself replied to the tweet.

Despite not having played any form of cricket in the last five months ahead of the IPL 2021, he smashed the bowlers all-round the park. In this year’s opening fixture, de Villiers played a match-winning knock of 48 which helped the team to secure a win against Mumbai Indians. It appeared as if he had resumed his form in batting from where he had left it in the last season.
From the seven games he played this year, he has scored 207 runs, which includes two half-centuries at a healthy average of 51.75 and strike rate of 164.28. With the second leg of the IPL all set to resume from September 19, his contributions will be extremely pivotal for RCB, who have had a good first half of the tournament.
