It will the clash between the two powerful batting line-up tomorrow when the Guyana Amazon Warriors lock horns with the Jamaica Tallawahs. Both teams have a batting powerhouses in their side which will make everyone anticipate a high-scoring game. It was an easy sailing for the both the teams in their previous encounter. The Guyana Amazon Warriors displayed a good all-round batting performance to beat Trinbago Knight Riders by 6 wickets while the Jamaica Tallawahs rode on Chris Gaye’s wonderful century and faced no problems in thumping the same opposition a couple of days later. Both teams are on a high and thus it will be interesting to see whether who dominates whom when they meet each other tomorrow.
1. Guyana Amazon Warriors:
The impact made by the explosive opening pair of Dwayne Smith and Martin Guptill will be crucial to the success of the team. Captain Guptill is yet to perform to his best and a superlative knock is anticipated from him tomorrow. A blazing start from the duo will set the stage ready for the likes of Chris Lynn and Jason Mohammad to come out all guns blazing. Both of them can up the rate in very little time.
Considering the potency of the Tallawahs batting order, a big, challenging total on the board is a must if they which to have an easy outing. While the batting order looks competitive, the Warriors lack in the bowling department. They have been dependent on Sohail Tanvir and Adam Zampa to perform. V Permaul has provided Zampa with some support but otherwise there’s is no one who stands out as a threat to the opposition.
Probable XI:
Dwayne Smith, Martin Guptill (C), Chris Lynn, Jason Mohammad, Charis Barnwell, Anthony Bramble (WK), Sohail Tanvir, Rayad Emrit, Veeraswamy Permaul, Adam Zampa, Paul Wintz
2. Jamaica Tallawahs:
World Boss Chris Gayle was in full throttle mode in the previous game against Trinbago Knight Riders. After taking some time initially to settle down, the local lad blew away the opposition with his entertaining 54 balls 108 run knock to seal a comfortable win for his team. He will once again the star player to watch out for.
The advantage Tallawahs have over the Warriors is that they have a better overall team composition. It a big plus point. The experience of Kumar Sangakkara and the brute power of Andre Russell adds more lethality to the batting attack. Shakib al Hasan and Imad Wasim have been good so far and give more balance to the XI. Dale Steyn looks fiery and has the support of the talented duo of Jon-Russ Jaggesar and Kescrick Williams.
Probable XI:
Chadwick Walton, Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Andre Russell, Rovman Powell, Shakib Al Hasan, Imad Wasim, Andre McCarty, Kescrick Williams, Jon Russ Jaggesar
