With four losses in four games, the Jamaica Tallawahs are languishing down at the bottom of the points table in CPL 2019. Their bowling has looked extremely fragile and that is one of the major reasons behind their failures. They conceded 267 runs in 20 overs in the last match against the Trinbago Knight Riders who shows how over-reliant they are on their batting.

The Tallawahs will soon need to rework their plans. Bowlers must execute their strategies better and should bowl tighter lines and lengths. It will be the Barbados Tridents whom they will face in their upcoming fixture. The Tridents just played two games thus far and won one. They will look to get a few more victories under their belt and advance ahead in the points table.

Pitch and Conditions

This game will be played at the Sabina Park in Jamaica. The pitch here has been excellent for batting and the margin of error as a bowler is very less. We should be up for yet another run-feast here. Scattered thunderstorms are predicted for the initial two hours of the game. Thus, there could be a slight delay but we wouldn’t lose out on many overs.

Team Combinations

Jamaica Tallawahs

Andre Russell is likely to be out for this game as well. There are a few decisions that the management must take with the bowling attack. Javelle Glen might make way for Kennar Lewis in the eleven. Shamar Springer is also likely to make it back into the team. The addition of Jade Dernbach should strengthen the line-up. The batting line-up will remain pretty much the same.

Predicted XI: Chris Gayle (C), Glenn Phillips (WK), Chadwick Walton, Rovman Powell, George Worker, Kennar Lewis/Javelle Glen, Shamar Springer/Jerome Taylor, Ramaal Lewis, Jade Dernbach, Zahir Khan, Oshane Thomas.

Barbados Tridents

The Barbados Tridents might look to stick with the winning combination from the last game. It is still early stages in the tournament and they need to press the panic button as yet. With the likes of Alex Hales, JP Duminy and others, the batting looks quite strong. There are some good resources available in the bowling attack as well with skipper Jason Holder leading from the front. Josh Lalor and Sandeep Lamichhane will be the key.

Predicted XI: Alex Hales, Johnson Charles, Leniko Boucher, JP Duminy, Jason Holder (C), Jonathan Carter, Hayden Walsh, Ashley Nurse, Roshon Primus, Josh Lalor, Sandeep Lamichhane.
