2. Abrar Ahmed vs England at Multan

After losing the first Test against England by 74 runs in Rawalpindi, Pakistan hosted the visitors in Multan. Before the game, English captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to bat first. From Pakistan’s side, the 24-year-old Abrar Ahmed received his debut cap and shone in the game delivering some mind-blowing bowling figures to his team. The leg spinner began the game with a bang sending the English opener Zak Crawley early.

After getting the breakthrough, he became more aggressive against the English batters and took six more wickets in the first innings to end his spell in the first innings with 7/114. With his tremendous outing, Pakistan wrapped up the English innings on 281. However, Babar Azam and his boys couldn’t turn the match towards themselves after failing to show up with the bat scoring only 202 in reply.

After being extraordinary with the ball in the previous innings, Abrar continued the momentum in the second innings too to wrap up the English innings on 275. Hunting four batters in the second innings, he rocked the stage again. However, his 7/114 and 4/120 figures went in vain as England won the thriller by 26 runs and sealed the series.
