Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their upcoming Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) fixture on Sunday, May 7, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad. The table toppers are coming off with a terrific win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their previous encounter. The team does not have so many concerns in either the batting or bowling departments.

The bowlers will boost GT's confidence ahead of the clash against LSG. The batters, on the other hand, have to maintain their power-hitting ability in the upcoming games to retain their top spot in the IPL 2023 points table. Here's Gujarat Titans' predicted XI against Lucknow Super Giants

Openers: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill

GT wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha has put on some brilliant displays in the ongoing IPL season. Despite scoring just 192 runs from 10 innings, he has been crucial for GT at the top-order. He also gave some standout performances behind the stumps. He must, however, improve his power-hitting skills in the upcoming matches.

Shubman Gill, on the other hand, has been exceptional with the bat so far this season. He currently holds the fifth position in the IPL 2023 Purple Cap list, scoring 375 runs which included three half-centuries. But in the last few games, he hasn't been able to score as many runs as he is capable of. The youngster will have to get better in the upcoming games to show his full potential.

Middle Order: Hardik Pandya (c), Vijay Shankar, Abhinav Manohar, David Miller

GT skipper Hardik Pandya has been good with both the bat and the ball. Hardik amassed 252 runs from nine matches at an average of 36.00 and a strike rate of 127.91. He has picked three wickets from nine matches at an average of 34.09. In the previous match against RR, the Indian all-rounder scored an unbeaten 39 off just 15 deliveries.

Vijay Shankar has been instrumental in most of Gt's victories. He was good with the bat, scoring 205 runs, including two half-centuries from eight matches. His highest score was an unbeaten 63 off 24 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in which GT lost by three wickets.
 
Abhinav Manohar was also having an unforgettable IPL season so far. In GT's match against Mumbai Indians (MI), he struck a 21-ball 42-run knock to help his side win by 55 runs. For his match-winning knock, he emerged as the Player of the Match. Notably, he hasn't had a chance to bat in the last couple of matches.

After a shaky start, David Miller put on some outstanding displays with the bat. The South African has managed to score 180 runs from nine innings, with his top score of 46 off 22 balls coming against MI.

All-rounders: Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia was struggling with both the bat and the ball this season. He has scored only 63 runs from 10 matches and hasn't picked any wickets so far. He pulled off a brilliant effort in GT's match against Delhi Capitals (DC), scoring 20 runs off seven deliveries during the chase. However, he was dismissed by Ishant Sharma in the final over and GT lost the match by five runs.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, Mohammed Shami, Joshua Little

Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan are playing a good game at the moment. Both bowlers are currently at the second and third spots respectively in the IPL 2023 Purple Cap list, Both have tied with 18 wickets from 10 matches. Rashid was instrumental in Gt's previous clash against RR, taking three wickets and conceding just 14 runs in his four-over spell.

Noor Ahmad has picked 10 wickets from six matches. In Gt's previous clash, he picked two crucial wickets and gave away 25 runs. Joshua Little, on the other hand, has grabbed six wickets from eight matches.
