Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have had a day to forget last weekend when they were soundly thrashed by the Kolkata Knight Riders by 98 runs. KL Rahul’s team had conceded over 200 for the first time in front of home fans at the Ekana Stadium.
The last loss leaves LSG now in the 5th place in the points table with 12 points. KL Rahul must have heaved a sigh of relief when he saw SRH lose to Mumbai Indians on Monday. The game on Wednesday is essentially now as great chance for the winner of the game to take a good lead for the 5th place in the table.
After taking on SRH away from, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will end their campaigns with two away matches. Their penultimate game of the season is away to the Delhi Capitals followed by a visit to the Wankhede Stadium to take on Mumbai Indians.

Arshin Kulkarni hasn’t made a great start to his IPL career with just 9 runs from his two matches. The youngster has the talent and the quality needed to make it big at this level and he will want to score some runs to show what he can do with the bat.

Middle-order – Nicholas Pooran, Ashton Turner and Ayush Badoni
Lucknow Super Giants will want the West Indian star Nicholas Pooran to re-capture his form seen earlier during the IPL 2024 season. The left-handed batter has seen his willow go silent in the last few games and his big-hitting is just what LSG need in the game against SRH.
Ashton Turner and Ayush Badoni need to up their performances and put up a decent few scores on the board. The two batters have the ability to hit the ball long and play a crucial role in the back end of the innings.
All-rounders – Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya
For the last few seasons since joining Marcus Stoinis, the Australian has been at the forefront of the team's successes with the bat and ball. The 34-year-old is a versatile batter with the ability to play according to the situation and also a very bankable bowler with his medium-pace seam bowling.
Deepak Hooda has long been a player who can score quick runs and also chip in with the ball in hand. His form along with that of Krunal Pandya will hold the key for LSG as they look to make it to the playoffs for the third year in a row.

Bowlers – Ravi Bishnoi, Naveen-ul-Haq, and Mohsin Khan
Ravi Bishnoi has started to turn his season around in the last few matches and has been a decent bowler for LSG. The exclusion from the Indian team for the T20 World Cup has lit a new fire in the 23-year-old who seems to be bowling well this season.
Naveen-ul-Haq and Mohsin Khan will try to upset the SRH batting with the new ball. The pace duo have a huge task on their hands as they look to stop the marauding duo of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma from scoring runs.
