Mumbai Indians' two-match losing streak finally came to an end after Harmanpreet Kaur's side saw off Royal Challengers Bangalore's challenge in their last league game of the Women's Premier League. However, their win did not account for much as the Delhi Capitals toppled them in the points table to get a direct entry to the final of the competition.

Their victory against RCB will act as a confidence booster for the players as they take on a plucky UP Warriorz in the Eliminator. The only concern for the Mumbai-based outfit will be the form of their star middle-order pair Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur, who have struggled a bit in the last few games.

Here’s Mumbai Indians predicted XI for the Eliminator against UP Warriorz :

Openers – Yastika Bhatia (wk), Hayley Matthews

Yastika Bhatia was in full flow against RCB after a few quiet games with the bat. The young opener initially took her time at the crease but started piling the pressure on the bowlers with a flurry of boundaries after getting her eye in. She has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians campaign and has had a hand in most dismissals from behind the wicket in the WPL.

Her opening partner, Hayley Matthews was given the marching orders by the on-field umpire on the very first delivery of the chase, only for the third umpire to uphold that decision. The Caribbean all-rounder ensured a fast start for her side in the powerplay and was also miserly with the ball against RCB.

Middle order - Nat Sciver-Brunt, Harmanpreet Kaur (c)

Nat Sciver-Brunt's leadership qualities with the ball has been an incredible asset for the Mumbai-based outfit. The English all-rounder was at her very best with the ball and scalped the prize wicket of Ellyse Perry. Her death bowling exploits ensured that RCB were restricted to a mediocre total in their first innings.

It was a rare failure for Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur against RCB. The influential batter was dismissed after scoring just two runs as the Indian all-rounder tried to up the ante in a small chase. Her form with the bat will be crucial for the Mumbai-based outfit in the do-or-die clash against the UP Warriorz.

All-rounders - Amelia Kerr, Amanjot Kaur, Pooja Vastrakar

New Zealand's Amelia Kerr has been one of the star performers in the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League. She grabbed three wickets with the ball in a brilliant bowling display, taking her to a total of 13 wickets in the tournament, the joint second-highest. She also played a steady knock with the bat to take her side over the line for an emphatic victory.

Chasing a modest total, Mumbai were in a spot of bother after losing Nat Sciver and Harmanpreet in quick succession. However, Pooja Vastrakar rose to the occasion and kept the RCB bowlers at bay with a 47-run stand for the fifth wicket with Amelia Kerr. Although she was dismissed in the latter stages of the match, she had already done her job by then. Meanwhile, Amanjot Kaur remained unbeaten at the crease as her senior partner finished up the job for her side.

Bowlers - Issy Wong, Humaira Kazi, Saika Ishaque, Jintimani Kalita

England's exciting young fast bowler Issy Wong is finishing the tournament on a high for the Mumbai Indians. The 20-year-old displayed remarkable control with the new ball against RCB and was accurate enough in the death overs as well. However, she was dismissed for a golden duck after trying an audacious shot.

Saika Ishaque's dry spell with the ball eventually came to an end against Smriti Mandhana's side after she managed to scalp her first wicket in three matches. It will be a confidence booster for the 27-yer old spinner, who has got 13 wickets to her name in the tournament so far, just one behind UP Warrioz's Sophie Ecclestone.

Mumbai Indians Women (MI-W):

Hayley Matthews, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Nat Sciver-Brunt, Amelia Kerr, Amanjot Kaur, Pooja Vastrakar, Humaira Kazi, Issy Wong, Jintimani Kalita, Saika Ishaque
