Dhruv Jurel is perhaps the most established name on this list, having already featured regularly around India's Test setup. The 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batter from Agra represents Uttar Pradesh domestically and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

Jurel made his Test debut against England in February 2024 and has played six Tests so far, averaging 47.50 with a highest score of 125. His performances with both the gloves and the bat have made him one of India's prominent wicketkeeping options beyond the established names.

He has also featured in four T20Is since making his debut against Zimbabwe in July 2024. More recently, Jurel was included in India's ODI squad for the West Indies tour, giving him another avenue to strengthen his case in white-ball cricket. The biggest boost to his prospects came on October 7, when he was named captain of the India A squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.

With India continuing to manage their wicketkeeping resources across formats, Jurel could benefit significantly from further rotation. If given an ODI opportunity, he has a chance to show that his game is suited to the 50-over format as well and strengthen his case as a long-term option.
