Cricket World Cup 2023: Rating fielders in ODI World Cup 2023
Following more than two weeks of the World Cup 2023, let's have a look at the ratings of some best fielders.
8. Devon Conway- 7/10
Devon Conway kicked off his World Cup with a bang, smashing an unbeaten 152 off 121 balls. Opening innings for his side, he has hit 249 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 104.62. The left-handed batter has done an exceptional job in the team not just as a batter but fielder as well.
Conway has hunted four batters in the tournament while fielding. In the opening game, he aided Rachin Ravindra in dismissing dangerous Harry Brook, who was looking incredible with his bat. The Kiwis hammered the Netherlands by 99 runs in Hyderabad and in this contest, Conway contributed with his 32-run innings and a stunning catch against Sybrand Engelbrecht at the deep square leg.
The 32-year-old took two catches against Bangladesh, sending Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto back to the pavilion. Shanto fell to the part-time bowler Glenn Phillips at the mid-wicket. Conway, who was deployed in that area, displayed agility with a diving effort.
