Following more than two weeks of the World Cup 2023, let's have a look at the ratings of some best fielders.
7. Shubman Gill- 8/10
Shubman Gill didn’t feature in India’s initial matches against Australia and Afghanistan. Against Pakistan, he made his World Cup debut and played a confident innings of 16 runs off 11 deliveries, with four fours. Gill also looked spectacular as a fielder, saving crucial runs for his side.
The youngster also took a stunning catch and helped Ravindra Jadeja in removing Hasan Ali from the crease. Gill exuded confidence from his bat against Bangladesh, playing a notable 53-run knock off 55 deliveries with seven boundaries (five fours and two maximums).
Before hitting his maiden World Cup fifty, Gill also grabbed two catches while fielding. Guarding the long-off, Gill caught Litton Das, who was batting incredibly in the match. After dismissing Liton, the fierce opener also caught Towhid Hridoy while standing in the same spot. He has taken three catches in a couple of outings in this competition.
