Here are three players to watch out for in the first T20I between England and India.
3 Min Read
1. Harshit Rana
Indian speedster Harshit Rana has slowly established himself as a stable presence in the pace attack under Gautam Gambhir’s regime. The fast-bowler, known for his hit-the-deck abilities with the ball, has become a reliable all-phase threat, capable of bowling in the powerplay, middle and death overs. Coming off the back of a significant knee injury, which saw him miss the T20 World Cup, he will be looking to stake a claim as the team looks to expand their pace battery.
Rana was India’s joint-highest wicket-taker against Ireland, picking up 4 wickets at an economy rate of 5.85. He finished with figures of 3 for 24 from four overs in the first game, while managing figures of 1 for 17 in the second.
