With a much tougher challenge awaiting them against England, the team management could look at a few important changes to improve their chances.

Gautam Gambhir and the team management prefer to have players who can contribute with both bat and ball. Hence, the Indian team was playing with three all-rounders in both of the matches. Washington Sundar, Shivam Dube, and Axar Patel played the first match, whereas Sundar was replaced by Suryanash Shedge in the second.

There is no doubt that these players add immense value and balance to the side, but having specialised players sometimes can turn the outcome of the matches by their own, and it was evident during the whole of the series against Ireland for the Indian side. If they make this change, it might increase Men in Blue’s chances in a crucial series against England.
