3. Harshit Rana

In the previous season, Harshit Rana played for KKR replacing Rasikh Salam, who got ruled out of the competition owing to a lower back injury. The franchise signed Rana at his base price of INR 20 lakhs to strengthen its bowling unit. However, the youngster played a couple of games for the franchise and wasn’t able to deliver according to his potential.

Bagging only one wicket at an underwhelming economy of 10.20, he looked out of rhythm with the ball. In November 2022, KKR retained him despite his flop show in the 2022 edition. However, he might not be added to the playing XI of the team in 2023 due to his non-performance in the last season.

Another factor that can impact his chances to get matches in the upcoming tournament is his inexperience. The 21-year-old has played only two first-class matches so far, which might not make him a bankable player for the franchise.
