2. Shikhar Dhawan vs Kuldeep Yadav

Out of favour Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan has just one chance to reignite fading hopes of final Indian recall. The 38-year-old has been one of India’s best performers in ICC tournaments and the T20 World Cup could be a perfect chance for a swansong. Kuldeep Yadav though might have different ideas as the left-arm wrist spinner has been having a golden run with the ball.
Shikhar Dhawan has traditionally swung against the spinners early in his innings. Kuldeep Yadav can bowl the flatter at a good speed to either get Dhawan out of LBW or bowled through the gate. Last year the Punjab Kings veteran opener scored 373 runs for his side. Kuldeep Yadav had a below-par season picking just 10 wickets from 14 games during IPL 2023.
