After their humbling loss to Kolkata Knight Riders, the next game for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is a big one. On Tuesday the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) visit the Chinnaswamy Stadium which saw an explosive clash last year.

Virat Kohli has been the only player from RCB who has been able to carry his team this year. Dinesh Karthik too has saved the blushes for Bengaluru once this season in a defining knock against Punjab Kings.

For the Lucknow Super Giants team, the win against PBKS kick-started their IPL 2024 campaign. Mayank Yadav created a storm by bowling the fastest ball of IPL 2024 clocked at 155.8 KPH. With this amount of ammunition, KL Rahul will head back to his home turf with a lot of belief under their belt.

Here are the top 3 player battles to watch out for in IPL 2024: RCB vs LSG, Match 15 -

3. Glenn Maxwell vs Ravi Bishnoi

Australian star Glenn Maxwell is one of the most dangerous batters in the world. It is in the T20 format that the threat of Glenn Maxwell amplifies due to his penchant to hit the big shots. If there is one chink in his armour it is a habit to slog across the line against the spinners.

Ravi Bishnoi has transformed himself into a very smart bowler in a very short time. The 23-year-old knows the weakness of a batter and is quick to asses it and take advantage of it. The young spinner can bowl the slider and go through the defence of a batter. This could very well be a huge player battle during the RCB vs LSG game on Tuesday night.

2. Mohammed Siraj vs Quinton De Kock

After warming the benches for most of IPL 2024, Quinton De Kock is finally getting to start games again. The left-handed batter scored an impressive fifty against Punjab Kings in the previous game. De Kock has good memories of Bengaluru as he scored his maiden IPL ton at this venue while playing for Delhi Capitals.

The key battle during the RCB vs LSG could very well pit Mohammed Siraj against the South African star. 30-year-old Mohammed Siraj hasn’t had a great start to the IPL 2024 season. The right-arm pacer though is a dangerous commodity against the left-handed batters with his away going ball. If Siraj can dismiss De Kock early, RCB will smell blood early in the game.

1. Virat Kohli vs Naveen-ul-Haq

RCB batting stalwart, Virat Kohli has already scored two half-centuries from the three games in IPL 2024 so far. The former RCB skipper has been one of the biggest reasons Faf Du Plessis and men have been able to compete well so far.

Naveen-ul-Haq who had an acrimonious spat with Virat Kohli will be the main bowler for LSG. The 24-year-old has all the required ammunition with the ball to dismiss one of the best batters in the IPL. While the two players have put their spat behind, the competitive nature they have could bring the best scenes in the house.
