IPL 2026: Punjab Kings' strongest predicted XI against Mumbai Indians

One of Punjab’s areas for concern has been their bowling, and it has been exemplified in Marco Jansen’s poor form with the ball. He has picked up just six wickets at an economy of 10.04, which would be a cause for concern for the Kings. Lockie Ferguson missed the game against the Capitals and is expected to slot back in as their middle-overs enforcer.

Arshdeep Singh has not had the best of seasons, but has been the leading wicket-taker for the Kings with 13 wickets at an economy of 9.93 as the strike bowler. Of his 13 scalps, seven have come in the powerplay. Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up eight wickets at an economy of 9.53, but was not used against the Capitals. Yash Thakur made his first appearance of the season against the Capitals and picked up two wickets, and bowled with control and accuracy in the powerplay.
